McKernan Woollen Mills
A visit to McKernan Woollen Mills in the village of Tuamgraney lets you discover the process of textile manufacturing in an historical context.
Eugene and Anke McKernan design beautiful scarves and shawls and weave them on antique 19th century Hattersley looms or knit them on state-of-the-art electronic knitting machines. Their creations are sold in stores and through mail order companies in Ireland, Europe and North America.
In the Woollen Mills’ shop you will have the opportunity to pick out a scarf for yourself or as a present to take home. Pieces from past collections and samples are also always on sale at reduced prices.
There is disabled access to the premises as well as adequate parking faciities for cars and coaches.
