Waterskiing on Lough Derg
Watermark Ski Club, which has its base just north of the bridge at Portumna on the River Shannon, offers opportunities for a wide range of adventure watersports and specialist courses.
You can avail of wakeboarding, waterskiing, body-boarding and wake skating, as well as wake surfing, trick skiing, bare footing and slalom skiing.
The club runs three boats catering for varying levels of experience and ambition out of its base, which is the ‘Tubal’, a 45ft long ship.
The two coaches, Mark Dunne and Yvonne Buerkle, are highly experienced wakeboarder riders who have won numerous national titles.
The Watermark Club caters for individuals as well as groups and corporate outings. It also organises training workshops and courses in different disciplines with professional international coaches.
