Birr Outdoor Education Centre
Approved by the Association for Adventure Sports and by Failte Ireland, Birr Outdoor Education Centre runs a wide range of courses which include various water-based activities.
These include:
- Outdoor Education for schools and youth groups
- Adventure Summer Camps
- Team building/Management training
- Language/Recreation Holidays
- Adult and Continuing Education Courses.
Water-based activities available on the courses include: Canoeing, Sailing and Boardsailing as well as a range of land-based pursuits such as Ecology, Hillwalking, Abseiling, Rockclimbing, Team Games, Orienteering, Gorge Walking and
Camping.
The Centre can also organise specific skills training in White Water Canoeing, as well as Mountain Navigation and Orienteering. Comfortable dormitory facilities, hostel accommodation and catering services are available, as well as a wide range of other facilities for participants.
