Activity Centres
There are two Activity Centres – Birr Outdoor Education Centre and University of Limerick Activity Centre operating on or near the lake which offer a wide range of courses involving various water-based activity options. These centres also organise specific skills training in certain disciplines.
The spectacular expanse of uncrowded waters on Lough Derg provides great scope for a multitude of pursuits for both groups and individuals. These range from canoeing and sailing to board sailing.
