Majestic Shoreline and Wonderful Villages - A magical setting!

There’s much to admire and inspire in the eastern part of Lough Derg, which roughly stretches from Ballinderry and Kilgarvan down to Ballina and Killaloe.

There are so many pleasant and attractive features… just take your pick and enjoy!

You have a beautiful lakeside shoreline, a number of picturesque villages with wonderful character such as Garrykennedy, Dromineer and Puckaun, and fine towns with good amenities like Nenagh.

Fine marinas and slipway facilities pave the way for great on-water activity options include sailing, cruising and many other water sports. This is also great countryside to explore on foot or cycle, with some dramatic mountains and marvellous views of the glorious lake.

And this too is an ancient place – there are a number of fine historical attractions to whet your interest.

This part of Lough Derg is ideal also for just leisurely sightseeing… with some fine mountains like the Arra Mountains, delightful lake views and interesting country roads all making for interesting drives.
