Birr Outdoor Education Centre
Approved by the Association for Adventure Sports, Birr Outdoor Education Centre runs a wide range of courses that cater for different outdoor land-based pursuits. These include:
- Outdoor Education for schools and youth groups
- Adventure Summer Camps
- Team building/Management training
- Language/Recreation Holidays.
The land-based activities available on the courses include: Camping, Ecology, Hillwalking, Abseiling, Rock climbing, Team Games, Orienteering and Gorge Walking,
The Centre can also organise specific skills training in Mountain Navigation and Orienteering.
Comfortable dormitory facilities, hostel accommodation and catering services are available, as well as a wide range of other facilities for participants.
