Adventure Centres
For those of you who are adventurous, try out some energetic land-based activity within a short distance of a beautiful lake setting, Lough Derg is the place to head for!
There are two Activity Centres near Lough Derg – Birr Outdoor Education Centre and University of Limerick Activity Centre which offer a wide range of courses involving various land-based activity options. These centres also organise specific skills training in certain disciplines.
The spectacular and varied countryside in the vicinity of Lough Derg provides great scope for a multitude of pursuits for both groups and individuals. These range from hill-walking and abseiling to gorge walking and camping.
