Hi, my name's Dergie and i'm here to help you have a super holiday on Lough Derg, in Ireland's Shannon Region. On many sections throughout this website, you will find Dergie's ideas, suggestions and recommendations. Keep an eye out for them.
The Nenagh River, which rises in the hills on the eastern slopes of the Silvermines mountains in North Tipperary and flows into Lough Derg at the beautiful lakeside village of Dromineer.
The Mulcair River, which enters the River Shannon near Annacotty about 6 km (4 miles) above Limerick City and 3.2 km (2 miles) downstream from the popular angling centre of Castleconnell, Co. Limerick.
The River Suck, which is the main tributary that runs between counties Galway and Roscommon and joins the River Shannon north of Shannonbridge, Co. Offaly, just upstream from Lough Derg.
The River Brosna, which rises in Co. Westmeath and flows through Co. Offaly into the Shannon at Shannon Harbour, again a little further upstream from Lough Derg.
