Lough Derg's Towns, Villages & Harbours
Dotted along the lakeshore are pretty quaint towns, villages & harbours, each offering a distinctive atmosphere and fine facilities. For the visitor, it all adds up of Lots to Do – either On the Water or in the Nearby Countryside… and a wonderful opportunity to Relax and Chill Out.
Many communities hold exciting festivals and events during the year, which give the visitor a great opportunity to capture the unique mood of the area and to join in the fun and celebrations with friendly local people.
There’s great traditional music and entertainment all year round too in the many pubs, concert venues, theatres and other hostelries dotted around the lake shore. What better way to get close to the very heartbeat of Ireland than by sampling a ‘seisiun’ in one of the cosy pubs of Feakle, Co. Clare or Terryglass and Garrykennedy in Co. Tipperary?
