The lake and its surroundings offer spectalular locations such as 'The Lookout' in Portroe or Ogonnolloe in Co Clare from which to view the Lake. The monsatic Holy Island located in Scarriff Bay or Portumna Castle provide a rich insgiht into Ireland's past.
If you want to chill out, why not take a trip on the lake in your own charter cruiser and explore at your pace the gentle waters and harbours.
